Belgium with Goffen, France without Benetton in the Davis Cup final

Specialists of pairs Nicholas Maul and Julien Benetton stayed outside of France for the Belgian final of the Davis Cup tournament, an informal World Men`s Tennis Championship.

Before the draw today, the host`s captain, Yanis Noah, announced that Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Luca Puy, Pierre-Yug Aberde and Richard Gasquet would play in the final.

Mayo, who took part in five of France`s six games by football livescore under Captain Noah last year, and Benetto trained together this week. Belgian captain Johan Van Herk will rely on David Goffen, Steve Darcy, Ruben Bemelmans and Arthur De Graeff.






France and Belgium will play against each other in the tournament for the first time since 2001. The winners won the first Davis Cup in their history in 2001 and lost the finals in 2002, 2010 and 2014.

The Belgian team qualifies for the final for the second time in the last three years after losing the United Kingdom in 2015.
