Alexander Zverev commented on the upcoming Roland Garros semi-final.
The German will fight with Casper Ruud.


In the quarterfinals, Zverev defeated Alex de Minaur with a score of 6:4, 7:6 (5), 6:4.


It was very important for me to win the second set, of course. But physically I felt good. I thought: Okay, I can play five sets again. But I understand that it`s better not to do this. I just feel like in the long run it was important for me to win in three sets again and save the energy for the semi-final.


[Ruud] is a great player. He reached two finals in a row, now he is in his third semi-final in a row - that speaks for itself. He`s one of the best players on this surface, that`s for sure. I think I need to play my best tennis to have a chance.
