Former Formula 1 driver Hans-Joakim Stuck commented on the reshuffle in Haas, where Nico Hulkenberg will replace Mick Schumacher in the new season.


Niko is a real beast, he is a natural racer. And he knows how to work. He can immediately tell what he needs to do and how to act. Personally, I would (in the place of the team leadership) trust him completely.


He showed what he was capable of back in Porsche (Hulkenberg won the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Porsche in 2015) and fully deserved a place in Formula 1. I wish him the best possible success.


As for the departure of Mick Schumacher, we in Germany generally have a problem with the new generation of riders. And we need to make sure that over time one or two young Germans get in and gain a foothold in Formula 1, this is important, - Stuck said.
